Brilliant Change in Business Comes From Within ~ And It's Free!
by Jesper Dynesen, Denmark

Let’s say our company is short of cash. This year, our budget only allows for a very limited amount to spend on human resources, sales & marketing, research & development. How do you secure the successful continuation of a business under these circumstances?

The answer is: You change the energy of the company – in other words, you change the mindset of the company, you get wise, you change from within. That’s the new evolutionary change that’s coming to the business world; a change that if you welcome it, will fuel success immediately. And the cool part of it is: It’s free!

Imagine that the product of our business is a simple main course. We started our business because we loved to cook and eat that particular course. Now we have a factory, and have spent years developing the right way of putting things together for the course - the most effective way of cooking it, the exact amounts and types of ingredients. But now we have forgotten why we started in the first place. We started because we loved life, and the food that sustained it. We have become technocrats, and we don’t feel the energy or bring attention to our product like we used to. Now is the time to reach into the passion that we once had. And remember how we used to cook with care and attention. We have no money to change our product now, but we do have the possibility to go about it with a different approach.

Now is the time, not to think about what kind of change we want to make, but to realize that what we are doing is already wonderful. It’s time to open to our colleagues, to see them as beautiful beings, as brothers and sisters, as wonderful agents of change in the world. It’s time to change the image we hold in our minds of our company. Open to what it really means to come together in a business. Vision what it is that we do at the highest level. For a while, we stop trying to improve on our processes, our products, our people. Instead, we get into contact with the energy, the depth of what we do, and what it means to be doing business.

Bringing attention, consciousness into business processes is THE new way of developing business. Bringing consciousness to a business means to energize the company, so that everyone in it realizes that business is a part of life, and life is wondrously evolving and full of new brilliant potential. This change can be brought about very very quickly, because it is a change in the mindset, in the energetics of a company. From this inner change, the new physical characteristics needed for a successful business will easily manifest.
